What the terms actually mean
Plain definitions for the words that come up when men research hiring a date for an occasion — what each one means, and just as importantly, what it does not.
The terms

A girlfriend for hire is a verified woman you book as your strictly platonic guest for an occasion — most often a wedding, a work event or a formal dinner.
"Girlfriend" describes the role at the occasion, not a relationship: you are paying for her time and company for one full day, agreed in writing before you meet. Nothing romantic or physical is part of it.

A rental girlfriend is the same kind of service under another name — and, separately, the name of a manga and anime series, Rent-A-Girlfriend.
Many searches for the phrase are about the anime. In Japan, レンタル彼女 is also a real, platonic service category. Girlfriend Hire is a booking service for real occasions, not the series.

A platonic companion accompanies you socially with no romantic or physical element whatsoever — the defining feature is the boundary, not the activity.
Every booking here is platonic by design, stated up front to both sides. The plan is agreed before the first meeting, first meetings happen in public, and either side can end the day.

A plus-one is the guest you are entitled to bring to an event — most commonly a wedding invitation addressed to you "and guest".
A plus-one on the invitation is the most common reason men book here: arriving with someone, having a person to talk to between courses, and not fielding questions about why you came alone.

The day rate is the fee for one full day of a companion's time. Every booking is one full day — there is no hourly option.
The day rate covers her time. Shared costs — tickets, her travel — are separate, and both are confirmed in writing before you commit. Rates track local incomes, so the same booking costs several times more in New York than in Mumbai.

The written plan is what both sides agree before a booking is confirmed: the occasion, the timings, how you will introduce her and what the day includes.
It makes the booking clear for both of you, and it is what a companion can point to if a client asks for something else. Messages and payment stay on the platform, so there is always a record.

A person checks her identity against her documents, with a photograph of her holding them, before she is shown.
We do not run criminal background checks, and we say so plainly. You verify your email and agree to the same rules before an introduction.

The published rule for changing your mind, set before you book rather than argued afterwards.
To book, you pay 50% of the price shown in advance, when you choose a companion. It is refunded in full if nobody is introduced, or if she cancels or does not come; once you are introduced, it is not refunded. The rest of the price shown you pay your companion directly on the day, and never more.

Is a girlfriend for hire a real girlfriend?
No. She is a verified woman you book as a strictly platonic guest for one occasion. Nothing about the booking is romantic, and nothing continues after the agreed day ends.
Do I need to use any of these words to book?
