Hiring a date for the occasion — explained

Hiring a date for a wedding weekend

3 min read

A wedding weekend with a welcome dinner, the ceremony and a brunch can be booked as consecutive days. Each day is its own booking with its own plan, start and end; she goes home at the end of each day, never shares your accommodation, and nothing about it is overnight.

How a weekend works

  • One booking per day, each at the day rate
  • A written plan for each day, agreed together before you book
  • She goes home at the end of each day
  • Each day starts again with a public meeting
  • Either of you can end any day

Is one day enough?

Often, yes. Most guests who arrive with a plus-one for the ceremony and reception are not asked about the brunch. Book the day that matters, and add another only if it does too.

A wedding away from home

If the wedding is in another city, her travel is agreed in the price, and she makes her own arrangements between the days. You never share accommodation.

Frequently asked questions

Can she stay at the wedding venue?

No. Nothing overnight is ever part of a booking; she makes her own arrangements and meets you again the next day.

Is the second day priced differently?

Each day is priced at the day rate; travel may be shared across the days.

Can I cancel one day of the weekend?

Each day is its own booking, so the rule applies to each: an advance of 50% per day, refunded if she cancels or does not come; once you are introduced it is not refunded if you cancel or change the plan, and the date can move only if she agrees.
